Leesan was born and raised in New York City's Lower East Side. She worked in Finance for over 9 years and graduated from Academy of Dramatic Arts. Leesan is the author of The Angel on Top of the Tree and currently resides in Branford, CT with her husband of over 15 years. They're busy raising 4 beautiful children.
Timothy Goldsmith taught biology at Yale University for over 40 years. During his last decade of teaching he brought biology to students whose primary interests lay in the humanities and social sciences. He has also been involved with reform of science education: chairing a national study of science teaching and learning in K-12 in the complex environment of public schools, and serving on the Board of a non-profit that develops innovative curricula and improved teaching methods. He and his wife Mary Helen live in Northford, CT and summer on Quissett harbor in Falmouth on Cape Cod.
Ispired by an angel, owner Leesan Villa started the Blue Ring and published The Angel on Top of the Tree. After 3 months in print it sold over 1,000 copies. The Blue Ring is proud to announce Varun's Quest: Into a Bee Tree and Other Adventures.

Barbara Haeger, Illustrator
Barbara is a freelance artist with a degree in Illustration and Painting. She has done many illustrations for various companies over the years. She is also a Portrait and mural artist. She currently teaches children's art classes to share her love of Art with others. She lives in Connecticut with her Husband and son.
Julia S. Child is a biological illustrator and natural history artist. She works in pen and ink, colored pencil, half-tone techniques, and watercolor wash, and her work has appeared in more than a dozen books and numerous scientific journals and textbooks. She lives with her husband Frank in Woods Hole, Massachusetts, where she teaches popular classes in drawing plants and animals to students of all ages.
